Privacy Policy

Okedoo lets you start a random video chat at okedoo.chat without filling in a form. Skipping the form does not mean we know nothing about you, though. A guest session is created the moment you arrive, and a few records follow from there. Below is the complete list, written for people rather than lawyers.

The information we hold

We collect what a feature needs to work and nothing decorative. Today that covers:

Your guest or signed-in account: the nickname shown to others, any sign-in method you linked later, language, preferences and the age you confirmed on entry.
Optional profile details such as a photo or a few words about yourself, plus the people you follow and the people following you.
Messages you send, both inside a random match and afterwards to people you follow.
A log line per match or call noting when it began, the mode you picked and its approximate length.
Coin and VIP purchases together with the receipt our payment processor returns. Full card details are handled by the processor alone; we only see the confirmation.
Reports you send, reports sent about you, and the outcome of each review.
Device and network details such as IP address, browser, operating system and crash logs, used to fix faults and catch abuse.

What happens to a live call

During a call, your camera feed and audio stream directly to the other device. We keep the call record described above and anything attached to a report, not a recording of your face. We have no say over what the other participant does with their own display, so treat what you show as something that might be kept.

Why we use it

Your information is never sold, and we do not hand chat content to advertisers.

To pair you with someone, connect the call and deliver messages.
To make follows, history and your coin balance work across visits.
To review reports, stop spam and ban people who break the community rules.
To process payments and handle refund or billing questions.
To measure loading speed and crashes in aggregate so the site gets faster.

Who else sees it

A short list of service providers works on our behalf: hosting, payment processing, error tracking and basic analytics. Each receives only what its job requires. Authorities receive information from us only under a legal requirement or to protect someone facing a credible threat.

How long it stays

Account and profile details last until you delete the account. Messages and call records are kept while your account is active so history and follows keep working. Report files are held longer when a ban or legal matter depends on them. Payment records are retained for the period tax rules require.

Your choices

Settings lets you change or clear your profile whenever you want. Need your data exported, fixed or wiped along with the account? Email [email protected] using the address tied to the account; guest-only users can simply quote the nickname they chatted under. Cookies and local storage keep you signed in and remember settings; clearing them signs you out and resets those choices.

Adults only

Only adults may use Okedoo: you must be 18 or older. Accounts found to be run by minors are shut and their data erased.

When this page changes

If we change how information is handled, this page will say so and the date at the top will move. Bigger changes are flagged on the site before they take effect.
